1961: Forman Field. Through the generous donation of the pioneering South Florida Forman Family, 150 acres south of State Road 84 and west of the Sunshine State Parkway (now known as the Florida Turnpike) have been designated as the new home of the Junior College of Broward County (today's Central Campus) (Scrapbook Collection)
