Carlos Pinto Jimenez

A College Academy at Broward College alumnus of the Class of 2022, Carlos Pinto Jimenez is a passionate game design graduate whose journey has led him to exciting opportunities in the gaming industry!

Thanks to the credits he earned at College Academy At Broward College, Carlos graduated ahead of schedule from the University of Central Florida in Spring 2025 with a BA in Game and Interactive Media Design.

Throughout his time at UCF, Carlos was deeply involved in campus life. He participated in the Improv Academy and appeared in one of their shows. He also took on the role of Events Director for Game Dev Knights, a student organization dedicated to equipping students with the skills needed to create games outside of the classroom. Carlos has been honing his game development expertise by mastering tools like Unity and Unreal Engine User Group.

In addition to his involvement on campus, Carlos was an undergraduate research assistant at the Synthetic Reality Lab at UCF, where he worked on virtual reality, augmented reality, and simulation projects. His role involved collaborating with graduate students to plan and develop experiments using his game development knowledge. 

In summer 2024, Carlos took a major step forward in his career by interning at Electronic Arts (EA) as a Game Design intern for Maxis, the creators of EA The Sims. During his internship, he had the incredible opportunity to visit EA’s offices in Redwood Shores, California. As of June 2025, Carlos announced that he would be returning to Maxis Studios as an Associate Game Designer.

Looking ahead, he plans to take the GRE this summer and apply to UCF's graduate game school, FIEA. Beyond that, he has exciting plans to travel to Japan and pursue a career in the gaming industry.
