Janelle Fertil

Janelle Fertil is proud alumna of the College Academy Class of 2021, who has already made significant strides in the healthcare field.

After graduating from College Academy, Janelle pursued her education at Nova Southeastern University, initially majoring in Biology with plans to become a dentist. However, after some deep self-reflection during her freshman year, Janelle made the bold decision to change her major to Medical Sonography. This shift allowed her to pursue her passion for patient-centered care and hands-on involvement in the medical field. Janelle encourages others to have those tough conversations with themselves to ensure they are on the right path.

Fast forward to today—Janelle has officially graduated from NSU with her Bachelor's degree in Medical Sonography and successfully passed three credentialing exams (abdomen, vascular, and OBGYN), making her a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer! 

We are excited to share that Janelle will be starting her first position as an ultrasound technician at Memorial Hospital West, where she will continue making a difference in the lives of patients.
