Lauren Ghantous

Lauren graduated from College Academy in 2019 and went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree from Florida International University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2021. While at FIU, Lauren was selected for the U.S. Department of State’s prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program, but unfortunately, her study abroad plans were interrupted by the pandemic.

Determined to pursue her dreams of further education and international travel, Lauren saved money for a year after graduation while working full-time. She applied to several universities in the U.S. and U.K. and was accepted into the highly regarded Department of War Studies at King's College London, where she pursued an MA in Conflict Resolution in Divided Societies.

In September 2022, Lauren moved to London and began her postgraduate studies. She successfully submitted her dissertation in August 2023, earning a Distinction, and graduated in January 2024. 

Since moving to London, Lauren has embraced her love for travel, visiting new places and meeting people from diverse backgrounds. Living in a big city on her own has been a transformative experience, teaching her the value of embracing change and pushing beyond comfort zones. 

For now, Lauren plans to continue exploring the U.K. and internationally while making the most of her time in London.
