Omar Hayek

College Academy at Broward College alumnus Omar Hayek, E.I., a proud member of the Class of 2019, who has been making impressive strides in the field of civil engineering!

After graduating from College Academy, Omar attended Florida International University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. While completing his degree, Omar gained valuable industry experience through two internships with engineering companies, which set the stage for his career. 

Following his graduation in 2022, Omar successfully passed the AEI - Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and is now working as a highway engineer at BCC Engineering, LLC. He has been involved in major projects along I-95 and other key highways across South Florida, contributing to the development and improvement of critical infrastructure in the region.

Omar is continuing to work hard as he prepares for the Professional Engineer (PE) licensing exam, which he plans to take in the next couple of years.

We are incredibly proud of Omar’s dedication and achievements, and we look forward to seeing his continued success in civil engineering!
