Silin Li

Silin Li has embraced both personal and professional growth since graduating from College Academy at Broward College in 2020.

After graduating from CA, Silin began her studies at the University of Central Florida in Fall 2020, initially majoring in Biomedical Sciences before transitioning to Health Science with a minor in Health Services Administration. Throughout her time at UCF, she was involved in multiple clubs such as the Asian Student Association, SASE, MAPS, and eSports at UCF, where she gained event planning and marketing experience. Her academic journey allowed her to explore a range of healthcare fields, including psychology, nutrition, and pharmacology.

Despite her early interest in clinical medicine, Silin realized that the front-end, patient-facing side of healthcare was not for her. After making the decision to pivot away from clinical roles, she developed a love for the administrative and business side of healthcare and decided to pursue opportunities in health administration. 

During her final year at UCF, Silin interned at Variety, the Children's Charity, where she honed her skills in external and internal communications, event management, and marketing. Now, with her Health Science degree and minor in hand, Silin graduated from UCF in May 2024 and embarked on a two-month journey through China, Japan, and Korea—a well-deserved adventure after years of hard work. 

In October 2023, Silin accepted a position at the Peace and Justice Institute of Orlando, where she works in a role that aligns with her values and gives back to the community. This new chapter marks the beginning of an exciting career, and Silin is thriving as she balances her professional aspirations with fun and fulfilling experiences, including traveling with friends to destinations like Mexico, Atlanta, and New York.

Silin’s journey is a testament to the power of self-reflection and perseverance. She encourages others to put themselves out there and pursue opportunities that resonate with their values. We are incredibly proud of Silin’s accomplishments and can’t wait to see where her journey takes her next!
